ICELAND and its VOLCANOES
Iceland is a country that sits on top of the North American Plate and the Eurasian Plate.
These two plates are moving away from each other due to convection currents in the mantle. This is an example of a constructive boundary plate and it happens underwater.
As these two plates moved apart, they formed a new plate/ boundary. Volcanoes are also formed.
The area around these plates usually have volcano eruptions and earthquakes.
One example is the mid-atlantic ringe that was formed by the eurasian and north american plate.
